How does it play through my car speakers?

There's two ways to do this. You can either connect the included AUX cord from the RetroScreen to your car's stereo/radio OR use the RetroScreen's in-built FM transmitter to play the audio through an unused radio station that you tune your car radio to.

Will it work in my vehicle?

You only need:

Is it wired or wireless?

The RetroScreen is completely wireless - it does not require any wires to be plugged into your phone. However, if you wish to use it with a wired connection, you can plug your phone into the RetroScreen via USB. This will also charge your phone.

How do I connect my phone to the RetroScreen?

Once you've plugged the RetroScreen into your car's lighter socket, visit your phone's Bluetooth settings. You'll be able to connect to the RetroScreen here within a few seconds. It will also automatically reconnect to your phone when you get in your car the next time - for a seamless experience.

What apps can I use with CarPlay/Android Auto?

The RetroScreen comes with a universal super adjustable sticky-suction car mount. It also has a switch to enable suction as well as multiple adjustable arms.

This allows you to easily modify the angle of the arms and display the RetroScreen on your dashboard the way that you like it.

You won't have any issues fitting the RetroScreen quite comfortably in any car.

After the first time connecting your phone to the RetroScreen, it will automatically connect every time you get in the car.

This makes for a seamless and enjoyable experience.

It will take about 15 seconds to launch CarPlay/Android Auto from when you start your car, which is similar to newer cars that have CarPlay/Android built-in.

"Will this drain my battery?"

The RetroScreen will not drain your car battery. If this is something that worries you, simply unplug the device from the lighter socket after use.

"Does it have a microphone for calls?"

"How big is the screen?"

The RetroScreen is a 7-inch screen, measuring at 178mm by 98mm. It has a HD display resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.

"Can I charge my phone somehow?"

Absolutely! If you would like to charge your phone through the RetroScreen, simply plug a USB cable into the left side of the screen.

We'd recommend at least using a 1 metre USB cable to make sure that you have enough slack to put your phone somewhere safely.
